Immunomodulating Properties of Probiotics Based on Lactobacteria and Plant Components

Purpose of this work was determination of the immunomodulatory effects of base probiotic composition of lactic acid bacteria based on genus Lactobacillus and the complex probiotic with carbyuloza on an experimental model of intact mice. It was found, that injection of carbyuloza in the probiotic composition increased functional activity of phagocytic system – namely, absorbing activity of macrophages.

The Growth Kinetics of Lactic Acid Bacteria Genum Lactobacillus on Nutrient Media with Different Sources of Carbon and Nitrogen Nutrition

The study assesses the possibility of using biotechnology probiotic soy and glucose-pyruvate culture media, which contain different sources of carbon and nitrogen. When choosing nutrient media, we take into account the end product cost, which can be reduced by decreasing the cost of medic components and simplifying its preparation. We investigate five strains of lactic acid bacteria p. Lactobacillus serving the basis of a new probiotic.

Determine the Effect of Probiotics on the Steroids Profile of Women in the Period of Menopause

Women have violation of sexual hormones synthesis in the period of menopause. Key manifestations of insufficient synthesis of androgens are decrease of bones density, memory worsening, diminishing of the muscular mass, violation of the ovaries functions and sexual disfunction. In modern medicine disorders of sexual hormones synthesis are corrected by the hormones therapy which has by-effects. We demonstrate that probiotic can serve as supporting therapy for women with disfunction of androgens.

Lactic acid bacteria as biosorbents of heavy metals

The paper under consideration examines the microelement structure and lactic acid bacteria ability of genus Lactobacillus and their compositions to adsorb heavy metals. We highlight the same qualitative element structure of lactic acid bacteria cells and distinction of its quantitative structure, depending on the kind and strain of lactic acid bacteria. Besides, the research results of lactic acid bacteria ability to adsorb heavy metals show this process independence from the exposition time and cells condition (both alive and dead).
