Component Selection of Nutrient Medium Based on Sugar Beet Pulp Extract for Cultivating Laetiporus Sulphureus

In this survey the possibility of using sugar beet pulp extract as the basis of growth medium for the cultivation basidiomycetes Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull.: Fr.) Murrill was evaluated. Positive results of evaluating the suitability of the medium based on this extract for cultivation on agar plates and in liquid media were obtained. Strain that is best adapted to the new source of nutrients was selected from three strains during a series of experiments. Component composition of nutrient medium to conduct further experiments with the selected strain was improved.

Isolation of Higher Basidiomycetes Prospective Producers of Biologically Active Substances in Pure Culture and Their Long-Term Storage

In this paper, we select methods and conditions for isolation of pure culture and long-term storage of three basidiomycetes species Schizophyllum commune Fr., Laetiporus sulphureus (Bull.) Murrill and Polyporus squamosus Huds.: Fr., which are promising producers of biologically active substances nowadays. We establish that the most effective methods of transferring strains in pure culture for S. commune was selection from spore material, and for L. sulphureus and P. squamosus – from basidiomes. 13 strains S. commune, 13 strains of L. sulphureus and 7 strains of P.

Medicinal Xylotrophic Basidiomycetes Laetiporus Sulphureus (Bull.: Fr.) Murill – Perspective Object of Biotechnology

This paper brings into light the critical review of publications on the chemical composition, action, and the use of compounds isolated from fruit bodies, submerged mycelium and culture liquid of edible basidiomycete Laetiporus sulphureus. In addition, we uncover biologically active compounds revealing the role of L. sulphureus as a substances producer that can be applied in various fields of industry.
